Under Biden, officially verified military social media accounts along with high rank official are launching political attacks in an effort to intimidate and silence Tucker Carlson for criticizing their priorities.
Sen. Ted Cruz points out that officials in uniform are being used in a campaign against the Fox News host.
On his show last week, Carlson pointed out that the Chinese Government is focused on building a massive naval operations while the Biden led Defense Department is making a “mockery of the United States military” by prioritizing things like changing regulations for female hairstyles and issuing maternity flight suits.
The verified account from the Marine Expeditionary Force blasted Carlson calling him a “boomer.”
The Marine account also responded to a Twitter user who told the account to focus on China, saying, "Come back when you've served and been pregnant."
Even Four Star General Paul Funk had to virtue signal and go after Carlson on his official account.
In response, Sen. Ted Cruz wrote a letter to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin noting that he’s “troubled” by the military’s coordinated attacks on Carlson.
“the military's broader obligation to avoid political endorsements and controversy, are being systematically undermined for the sake of leftwing ideology and political expediency...
This spectacle risks politicizing the military after several centuries of efforts to keep military officials out of domestic affairs...
This kind of behavior, while perhaps typical in a military-controlled Third World country, is completely unacceptable in the United States of America."
He is requesting a meeting to discuss the issue.
After Cruz’s letter, the Marine account deleted the tweet then later apologized writing:
“We are human and we messed up. We intended to speak up for female Marines and it was an effort to support them. They are a crucial part to our corps and we need them to know that. We will adjust fire and ensure the utmost professionalism in our tweets.”
