No wonder he hasn’t addressed congress or held a press conference where he is grilled by reporters.
Biden was announcing the nomination of two female generals to lead US military combatant commands.
He said, “and I want to thank the sec — the, the, ah former general. I keep calling him general, but my, my — the guy who runs that outfit over there. I want to make sure we thank the secretary for all he’s done to try to implement what we just talked about. And for recommending these two women for promotion.”
Earlier at the event, Biden mentioned the Defense Department leader by his name, “Secretary Austin,” while appearing to read from a teleprompter.
This comes as the Washington Post reports that VP Kamala Harris is fulfilling some of the president’s duties on foreign policy. The Post reports that “Harris has spoken independently of Biden to at least six world leaders, the White House says, an unusually large number for a new vice president…”
This is not new, while in Houston recently he referred to the CongressWOMAN Sheila Jackson-Lee as “Shirley” Jackson-Lee and Democrat Rep. Lizzie “Panelli”.
