If electric vehicles are so awesome and far superior as the left claims, why has the government spent the last decade interfering in the marketplace to force people into them.
It’s started with cash for clunkers, then huge rebates for wealthy people buying Teslas and now this.
The City Council Petaluma just voted to ban the construction of new gas stations in the city. The ordinance also prohibits the addition of new gas pumps at existing stations.
In a statement to KTVU-TV Councilmember D’Lynda Fischer says “we have adequate existing fossil fuel infrastructure to serve the needs of our residents. This ordinance will prohibit the proliferation of large fueling stations typically associated with a national retail chain. And it takes us one step closer to carbon neutrality by 2030."
City leaders want to be carbon neutral by 2030, so they are basically trying to everyone into electric cars.
So aside from banning plastic water bottles, canceling Dr. Seuss and trying to get you to eat fake meat, liberals latest trend appears to be going after gas stations all in an effort to force you into an overpriced and underperforming Chevy Volt.
