Portlandia’s far-left mayor Ted Wheeler says he was leaving a pub after dining with former Mayor Sam Adams when they say they were confronted by a man with a video camera.
He says that man aggressively got in his face and accused him of dining without a mask.
Wheeler says the man then followed Wheeler closely as he walked to his car.
In the police report, according to The Oregonian newspaper, Wheeler said:
“he had no face mask on and got within a foot or two of my face while he was videoing me. I became imminently concerned for my personal safety. I clearly informed him that he needed to back off. He did not do so I informed him that I was carrying pepper spray and that I would use it if he did not back off. He remained at close distance, I pulled out my pepper spray and I sprayed him in the eyes.”
Earlier this month, Wheeler was confronted by a group of Antifa goons as he ate at a restaurant.
They got in his face & cussed him out, one lady even shoved him.
The Oregonian reported in that incident, Wheeler took a picture of the woman he said hit him.
The woman was identified as Tracy Molina described by The Oregonian newspaper as a “prominent social justice activist and regular participant in the city’s protests against police violence and systemic racism”.
Wheeler did not pursue criminal charges in that case.
