There was a terrorist attack right here in Texas last week.
On Thursday morning, a man opened fire at the Naval Air Station-Corpus Christi.
That man has since been identified as Adam Salim Alsahli, a 20-year-old college student. Aisahli was reportedly born in Syria, but is a US citizen.
On Thursday, just after 6 a.m, Alsahli allegedly drove up to the north gate of Naval Air Station- Corpus Christi, drew a handgun, and fired at a Military Policewoman, striking her ballistic vest, according to government officials.

Officials close to the investigation are saying Alsahli made social media posts expressing support for extremist groups like Al-Qaeda and the jihadist ideology.”
This is the second terrorism-related attacked on naval facility in the past five months.
Stripes reports: "On Dec. 6, a Saudi Air Force officer, Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani, shot and killed three sailors and injured eight others at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla."
Defense Secretary Mark Esper says “I am very concerned about both cases. We’re looking at additional measures we will take to ensure that foreign-inspired terrorists do not have access” to military installations and the country.
