Warren Campaign Looks At Diverting VA Funds To Pay For “Medicare For All”

The Elizabeth Warren campaign is struggling to figure out how to pay for her $30 trillion-plus “Medicare for All” take-over of healthcare.

She is under increasing pressure to explain how she will pay for it without raising middle class taxes.

The Washington Post’s Jeff Stein reports that the Warren campaign has sought help from a number of economist. One of those economists says part of the answer is diverting funds from the VA to help pay for the plan.

From the Washington Post:

Robert Pollin, a left-leaning economist at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst who has worked with the Warren and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) teams, said he believes two-thirds of the single-payer fund can be raised by redirecting existing public health-care spending from Medicare, Medicaid and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Pollin refused to discuss any details related to his conversations with Warren’s campaign.”

So they are basically going to put veterans on the same plan they want to give illegals.
