Teen Who Survived Being Shot, Left For Dead Crowned Homecoming Queen

In February of 2017, a 15 yr old girl was left for dead in a drainage ditch in Logan, UT. She had been shot a couple of times in the back of her head by two classmates who wanted to get rid of her.

More than a dozen brain surgeries, and two years later, she was crowned Homecoming Queen at her high school.

Deserae Turner was crowned as queen by her classmates at Green Canyon High in North Logan, UT last Friday night.

She doesn’t think she’s anything special, just a homecoming queen. But when you look at the journey she’s been on, it’s miraculous.
