After disrupting traffic in the area for most of the day, Houston and Baytown firefighters were finally repelled down to the idiots who had been hanging from the Fred Hartman Bridge at the Houston Ship Channel.
Officers arrested 11 people who had lowered themselves on the bridge along with 12-other who were acting as spotters on the bridge.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office say they will face multiple charges including obstructing the roadway and obstructing the waterway. The sheriff's office is checking with the U.S. Attorney General on other possible charges.
In addition, their stunt actually caused an accident on the bridge.
Investigators say a van carrying the group partially blocked a lane on the northbound side of the bridge.
A vehicle coming over the bridge around 6:30 a.m. saw the van at the last second, hit the brakes and swerved to avoid hitting it.Another vehicle then rear-ended the second vehicle.
The group should face charges for causing that wreck that injured one person.
