The US Coast Guard released the video yesterday that shows them in a high speed chase with a narco-submarine on the high seas.
In the video, a Coast Guardsman yells at the half underwater and half exposed vessel, ordering it to stop.
Members of the guard then jump on the moving vessel as one pounds on the hatch. That hatch soon opens and the man inside emerges with his hands in the air.
The bust netted more than 17,000 pounds of cocaine.
The so-called "narcosub" is one of 14 drug-smuggling boats intercepted by the US Coast Guard in the last three months.
These subs are built by the cartels deep in the jungle to avoid detection. Coast Guard Lt. Commander Stephen Brickey says every vessel is built with the ability to sink and destroy the evidence within minutes, with the smugglers knowing that the Coast Guard will rescue them.
