Andrew Olson is a social studies teacher at Northridge High School in Utah, he also coaches basketball and football. Olson, a captain in the Army National Guard, was deployed to Afghanistan for five months. This week, he returned home and surprised his students and players.
The students were told they were going to have a guest speaker but instead it was Olson. The reaction was heartwarming as students were overcome with emotion. Olson's wife told Good Morning America "He loves them. They’re like his little brothers or kids. He’s a tough coach, very stern and expects a lot but I think it helps the kids respect him because they know he does it from love.”
