We have one of the most dangerous highways in the country

(Houston, TX)  --  A new study says Interstate 10 through Harris County is the nation's fifth-deadliest stretch of highway.  The study by ValuePenguin, an insurance data group, says the Houston-area stretch of I-10 had nearly 700 deaths in almost 600 fatal crashes from 2010 to 2016.

The study says I-10 statewide, from Louisiana to New Mexico, is overall one of the deadliest highways in the country.

The study ranks State Highway 105 in the Conroe area fourth in the number of DWI crashes, with the worst ambulance response time in the nation.
