July 4th Events around Houston and Texas

(Houston, TX)  --  Lots of Fourth of July celebrations are planned for the Houston area this Wednesday.

The July 4th CITGO Freedom over Texas is at Eleanor Tinsley Park, west of downtown Houston, from 4 to 10 p.m.  

The July 4th Star-Spangled Salute starts at 8:30 p.m. at Miller Outdoor Theatre in Hermann Park.  

Light Up the Sky Fireworks Spectacular gets underway at 6 p.m. at the Chester L. Davis Sportsplex in League City.

Bucking the trend, the July 3rd Houston Symphony's Star Spangled Salute is at 8 this evening at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands.

The 179th City of Galveston Celebration of Independence Day Parade kicks off at 7 p.m. on Seawall Boulevard at 37th Street.  The fireworks are at 9:15 p.m.  

Missouri City's 4th of July Celebration takes place at Buffalo Run Park between 6 and 9 p.m.  

The Pearland Celebration of Freedom is at Pearland High School Football Stadium, starting at 6 p.m.  And the 4th of July celebration at Kemah Boardwalk sets off the fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
