Nearly 40% Of Working Bay Area Adults Need Roommates To Afford Rent

(San Francisco, CA)  --  Nearly 40-percent of working adults in San Francisco say they need at least one roommate in order to afford rent.  A Zillow study finds that doubled-up households are more common in metro areas with higher rents.

The average rent for an apartment in San Francisco now tops 36-hundred-dollars a month.  That's actually a four-percent decrease from last year's over 37-hundred-dollar average rent.
