Florida lawmakers have passed what many consider the blueprint for states to combat President Joe Biden's open border policies.
Among the provisions, Florida Senate Bill 1718 strengthens E-Verify, collects data on illegals using state medical care and bars driver's licenses issued to illegals in other states.
"Really trying to send the message that if you get in under Biden administration's laxed border policies, don't come to Florida. Because your life is not going to be easy here," says Jessica Vaughan, diretor of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies.
"So many provisions in it, it's almost like a menu (other states) can select from to try to deter illegal immigration and go after illegal employers, and really try to mitigate the effects of the disastrous Biden border policies."
There's also $12 million for Gov. Ron DeSantis to continue transporting illegals to sanctuary states.
