It's the most wonderful time of the year, except when you go grocery shopping! A new survey found that due to the record high Biden-flation, 83% of grocery shoppers have had to change their behaviors.
"Over 80% say that yes, they have done things differently over this past year" said financial expert Bill Dendy, "That is a pretty broad base, and I think this inflation period has caused people to become more diligent, and they're looking for ways to maintain their high standard of living."
How so? By going with store brand items instead of name brands, and also by clipping coupons, and signing up to be a rewards member.
Sadly, 69% say that they are struggling to pay their grocery bills, with many cutting back on their holiday meal plans.
"It's now become like a national phenomenon, as folks are looking for a way" Dendy told KTRH, "And they're trying to determine what are the brands that we have to have, and what are the brands that we can substitute out, and save 20-30%"?
And just in case you're wondering, 'snack items' are the first to go, when consumers look to cut their grocery costs.
