With less than a month to go until the November midterms, it is October. So will we see any October surprises before the midterms?
"The Democrats like October surprises, but they've also set a time-bomb for themselves, which is that voting starts in October" said Andrea Widburg, editor with American Thinker, "Things do change in the last month, and as more and more voters have already voted, the October surprise is somewhat leached of power."
But what about this time around? Because we know that the Democrats are desperate.
"October surprises are easier in presidential election years because you have one person to target" Widburg told KTRH, "This time around there are a few hotly contested races, but people don't start paying attention until a month before the election."
The Democrats have been counting on the abortion issue to carry them through, but it's not working. Gas prices are roaring back up again, inflation is getting worse, the border crisis is unspeakable, and crime is rampant in just about every city across the U.S.
The only thing left for the Dems to do is have another lockdown, or attack Donald Trump, which they plan to do later this week.
"Trump, since 2016 has had what I call media and political colonoscopy's" noted Widburg, "He's had so many, what surprise could there be about Trump? And I think ordinary Americans are coping with things that are much, much more serious."
An October surprise, before a serious election.
That leads us to the poll question this morning.
