As we countdown to the November midterms, and the likely Republican 'red wave', it's also that time when we are being bombarded by polls. Just about every single day.
But while the numbers may shift from right to left, a new study found that a record number of Americans are 'self-silencing' due the left's cancel culture.
"We've got a lot of voters, and a lot of folks that face intimidation if they tell what they truly believe" said Matt Langston, partner with Big Dog Strategies, "The liberal left has got this culture of intimidating and trying to bully conservatives and Republicans."
As a result, the survey showed that there is wide difference between what people will say in public about their political opinions, and how they actually truly feel in private.
"Conservatives prefer to fly under the radar, they do not want to be targeted" Langston told KTRH, "It really has created this fear out there, it becomes a false positive when you look at these numbers that they toss out there."
So when you see poll numbers on some of the big issues, like the economy, crime, public schools, immigration, and abortion, look for conservatives to do their talking at the ballot box.
"The poll numbers that are pushed around, and the cancel culture that is out there, is just not the reality in our country" noted Langston, "The polls are meant to get a headline, and it is a misread to look at it and say that the country is a liberal cesspool. It's not true."
Hopefully, we'll finally see the truth again in November.
