It was another hot weekend here in Texas, with temperatures at near record highs, as the hottest heat wave since 1980 continues.
President Joe Biden recently said our record high gas prices were part of a 'great transition', from gas and oil, to green energy. Experts are now warning that Biden's rush to 'green energy' is leaving the U.S. incredibly vulnerable to power outages, and grid failures.
It sounds great on paper. If only it really worked. There's the left's fairy tale, and then there is reality. Renewable's are unreliable.
"Show me a wind turbine factory that runs on wind turbine's and I'll be quiet" said Daniel Turner, founder and executive director with Power The Future, "But as of now, the wind power factories, the solar panel factories, are all running on fossil fuels. The industry itself realizes that this is all one big joke."
Unfortunately, nobody is laughing, and the joke will be on us if we have any blackouts or brownouts this summer here in Texas.
"I think Texas is vulnerable because your electricity production is not rivaling your electricity consumption" Turner told KTRH, "Your population has grown tremendously, as people are fleeing states like California, so you have gotten more consumers, but are your electricity producers and your utility companies, are they keeping up?"
We shall see, as we already a new record high for electricity demand here in Texas last week.
That leads us to the poll question.
