A couple of grocery chains have landed themselves in the middle of a debate over the Second Amendment.
Harris Teeter and its parent company, Kroger, are facing backlash from conservatives after their pulling a couple of koozies from store shelves. The tensions started in June, when a North Carolina political candidate tweeted a complaint about two pro-America koozies for sale that features guns and bald eagles. One of the items read "Give me liberty or give me death", and the other read "America, love it or leave it". Christy Clark stated on Twitter she believed it was insensitive to sell them in wake of recent mass shootings. After Harris Teeter thanked her and pulled the products, some Americans started to voice their disagreement with the company.
The decision was met with a wave of resistance online, with some customers saying they'll shop elsewhere.
