POLL QUESTION: Are you worried about a food shortage?

With record high gas prices, which has caused food prices to go up as well, it's time for a new MAGA! No, not Donald Trump. That's in 2024. But right now? We need to Make Americans Garden Again!

Ok, maybe that was a reach. But with the soaring food prices couple with the war in Ukraine, some are wondering if we are headed towards a global food crisis?

"The simple is answer is no, we're not really headed for food shortages" said Texas A&M professor David Anderson, "I don't think we're quite to that point yet, we're not at the point where we all have to grow a bunch of stuff to rely on for our food supply."

It's good that we are not at that point, but the push to grow our own food is not new.

"We've certainly seen evidence in the past" Anderson told KTRH, "Victory Gardens during WW2, and even before during WW1 where we grew a significant portion of food."

In the meantime, some left leaning media outlets are trying to come up with creative ways to deal the high prices.

"There was an absurd article where they gave these very amateur hour suggestions" said political writer Monica Showalter, "Oh yes, eat lentils instead of meat, and take away your dog's chemo. This is nonsense, people know how to cut back when they have to cut back."

That leads us into today's poll question.
