University of Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson was in an especially celebratory mood Sunday after his Cougars beat Illinois 68-53 in Pittsburgh to advance to a third Sweet 16 in a row in the NCAA Basketball Tournament.
The 66-year-old joined the team in the locker room, stripped off his shirt and began dancing with the players. The coach got a drenching as part of the celebration.
Houston will meet Arizona Thursday night in the next round. Last year, Sampson led the Cougars all the way to the Final Four before being beat by Baylor.
