U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) didn't respond when asked on the street Wednesday for her take on record-high gas prices and expanding U.S. energy production.
On Tuesday, when asked by Hillary Vaughn of Fox if the U.S. should buy oil from Iran and Venezuela, Ocasio-Cortez said, "None of these options are good ones."
"It's very alarming that many people are pushing to increase either imports or production of oil," Ocasio-Cortez continued. "What we really need to be doing is rapidly investing in solar and wind."
Previously, the second-term congresswoman tweeted her support for "targeted sanctions against Putin and his oligarchs."
