Most Texans are not OK with AOC. But during her recent campaign visit, the radical New York Congresswoman proclaimed that Texas is turning blue. Is that true?
"There's really no evidence that Texas is turning blue" said Republican strategist Matt Mackowiak, "Democrats made huge investments in Texas in the 2020 election cycle and they failed entirely, in fact the balance of power remained exactly where it was. 2022 I believe is going to be a blood bath for Democrats, and they deserve it."
It's hard to argue that, with most experts and analysts agreeing that a 'red tsunami' is coming. Not only is Texas expected to remain red, it should end up even redder by the end of the year, including in some blue Democrat strongholds.
"We've seen defund the police, homelessness explode, crazy DA's letting criminals out, so I do think there's going to be an awakening in urban areas" Mackowiak told KTRH, "I think there's a good chance Republicans will win the county judge office in Harris County, so there's an opportunity given the craziness that we're seeing in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, for Republicans to make some gains."
But what about AOC and her wild claims?
"AOC is a strange one because the more she comes to Texas and promotes her brand of socialism, the harder she makes it for Texas to turn blue" Mackowiak said, "I don't see how you can say Texas is turning blue? when you haven't won a statewide race in over 20 years."
And despite claims that Texas is becoming more diverse, or blue, Mackowiak says it's just the opposite, and that Texas is actually tightening up.
That leads us to the poll question this morning.
