Social media was quick to spotlight a number of top celebrities shown on NBC’s telecast of the Super Bowl ignoring California’s indoor mask mandate.
Jay-Z, Charlize Theron, LeBron James, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were among notables at the game without face coverings in violation of California’s indoor mask mandate, in effect until Tuesday.
KN95 masks were given out at the game, however it appeared few fans at SoFi Stadium actually wore them.
Still, children in schools, users of public transportation, and individuals in long-term care facilities will still be required to wear masks once the mandate is lifted.
