It "rained" fish for a few minutes in Texarkana Wednesday afternoon.
Really!
The rare meteorological phenomenon occurs when a water spout sucks up small creatures such as fish and frogs and carries them along until the funnel loses steam and drops the stunned passengers over land.
Two storms had moved through the area around 4:30 p.m., and at least four locations in town reported a fishy free-fall either during or just after.
Strong winds created by tornadoes or hurricanes can also send small species raining from the sky.
