The first COVID vaccine for children as young as five is one step closer to being ready next week. The FDA is expected to give emergency approval by Friday after advisors voted for it yesterday. A CDC panel will then weigh in and the director hopes to sign off right after. This is for 28-million children up to age eleven. Nearly half of them have already been infected, with hundreds hospitalized and at least 94 dying this year.
