Two Houston lawmakers arrested in DC protest for voting rights

U.S. Rep. Al Green, who represents Texas' 9th Congressional district, was arrested in Washington, D.C. Tuesday and given a citation for blocking traffic while participating in a voting rights protest.

State Rep. Ron Reynolds (TX-27) was also arrested.

The two Democrats join several other lawmakers, including Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Houston, who have been have been detained in recent weeks while protesting in support of voting rights.
