Gator removed from Fulshear neighborhood

Fulshear police relocated a large alligator found roaming around a neighborhood Wednesday.

Police Capt. Mike McCoy said it took five officers to move the large reptile to a nearby pond. Officer Nickey Braly used his roping skills to first snag the animal.

The department's policy is to move wandering alligators to more appropriate locations rather than kill them if they are not considered a nuisance, McCoy said.
