Harris gets 'missing' milk carton treatment from House Republicans

Republicans took aim at Vice President Kamala Harris by displaying her photo on a mock missing persons milk carton during a briefing Wednesday.

The prop was intended to draw attention to Harris forgoing a visit the southern border to address the mass migration and overflowing border facility crisis there, in spite of having been named the Biden Administration's "border czar."

Republican Whip Steve Scalise displayed the milk carton that read 'Missing at the border' with Harris' White House portrait.

The federal government now has 21,000 unaccompanied minors in its custody.

"If she's the vice president of the United States, and the president put her in charge of this, Vice President Harris needs to go down to the border and see this for herself,' Scalise said during the briefing.

Harris responded that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is actually in charge of the border crisis. "I have been asked to address the root causes," she said, noting that she will visit Guatemala and Mexico but won't go to the southern border.
