A 9-year-old California girl cried for joy in a video captured by her family when her mother told her she would finally be returning to school.
Fourth-grader Clara’s mother and father asked her to sit down for a surprise. The girl sat and read signs her mother held up one-by-one, reminding her she’s been out of school for 358 days after in-person classes were canceled on March 13, 2020.
Clara immediately bursts into tears at the revelation and embraces her mother, saying, “Really? I haven’t gone to school in such a long time.”
