More Americans are leaning on their faith and their family amid the pandemic.
According to a new survey by the Pew Research Center, three-in-ten American adults say the challenges brought by the outbreak have resulted in a stronger personal faith. About four-in-ten say the pandemic has brought them closer to their family.
Many say turning to religion and family are healthy ways to cope with a crisis.
“The closer you are to God, the more you are going to exemplify the fruits of the Spirit, which are peace, patience, kindness, love, gentleness. Those are the types of things that come along with genuine faith in God,” Government and Philosophy Professor Shannon Holzer, at Houston Baptist University, said.
