Triple A reports cheap gas prices in Harris County

Triple A Texas says the average price of regular unleaded gasoline in the state is $ 1.80 a gallon. That's unchanged from a week ago but it's 46 cents lower than this time last year. The nationwide average price is $ 2.10 a gallon, the lowest since 2015 when it was five cents less. The lower prices did not lead to increased holiday travel in Texas or elsewhere. Many people chose to stay home because of the pandemic. The average price at the pump in San Antonio is $ 1.69.
