It’s the way we Houstonians are; independent and individual as all Texans. But there’s something really special about community in Houston and the huge role that businesses always seem to play in keeping us strong together, and in unique and inspirational ways.
Like John Moore Services; you know them as a plumbing company of 50 years ago that has grown to complete home services. It was the John Moore lawn treatment folks who dreamed up Seeds of Hope; planting/gardening kits of soil, pots and seed packets to give local families an activity together. They intended the giveaway for about 100 kits, but in a 24 hour span had over 3,000 families request. So they ramped up and the response is just, well, it’s typical Houston Strong.
