The cancellation of normal American lifestyle consumed the month of March.Now it will consume April.
Just observation, not complaint (knowing the necessity). There are ample examples of individuals and most of America rising to the ongoing challenge, even as we mumble that our first waking moment each day is beginning to resemble the movie “Groundhog Day,” or is it more like the saying “wash, rinse, repeat”. On Houston’s Morning News, we are reminding each other which day of the week it is, .as we try to stay on top of the changing aspects of the unchanging top story of COVID-10. We are doing our best to rise to the challenge on the job and as everyone else, in our homes and with our families.
But there’s no denying that this abrupt cancellation of “life as we’ve been living it” appears to be not a temporary detour. When this pandemic ends, and it will, going to be interesting to see what road we choose. Groundhog metaphor maybe giving way to rise of the phoenix?
