We are seeing a dystopia played out before our very eyes, brought to us by the two Americas crowd. It’s not an America of the haves and have-nots; almost full employment was making history in that regard. Rather it’s an America of seeing COVID-19 as a war we each have a responsibility to help win versus those who think it’s a great crisis to score political gains, and thus control over the other Americans you don’t like.
Where do you fall in that, if at all? Maybe you are just not engaged in deciding where you stand. Maybe you think it’s alright for the medical bureaucracy to determine whether the mighty engine of the American economy fails. Two Americas, on so many fronts, who's going to put it back together again?
