Fryer Feature: Houstonians vote now

Early voting underway for the Texas primaries and the turnout is robust; at least here in the Houston area.

Probably a good thing, seeing as The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo opens on March 3rd Super Tuesday. That’s an absolute and quick shift of focus for everyone in our area. Proved this morning on Houston’s Morning News as we were treated to BBQ from the BBQ committee of the World Championship BBQ Contest of Rodeo Houston.

Chairman Dave Stone joined us live and the podcast is below. Really hard to focus on debates and caucuses, etc. with the aroma of BBQ in the studio. The contest opens on Thursday next week, the Trail Rides are already underway, the Parade, the Conoco-Phillips Fun Run, the Midway and Carnival, the concerts and the livestock show and rodeo are all good at shifting focus from politics for those of us in the broader Houston area. A good reason why Houstonians vote now.
