It appears as if we had some meteor sightings over southeast Texas this week.
Multiple people said they saw a bright flash in motion in the dark sky before sunrise Thursday morning.
To back this up, the American Meteor Society website received at least 50 reports of a fireball not just in Texas, but also in Oklahoma and Louisiana.
We are on thew cusp of the Geminid meteor shower, which will peak a week from tomorrow. But the American Meteor Society had expected some more activity this week.
