The National Christmas Tree Visits Texas

What in the world was the U.S. Capitol Christmas tree doing in Texas? That certainly catches some attention. Didn’t you expect most of them to hail from northern states? Guess really all you need is some altitude. The 60 foot tall spruce that will grace the nation’s Capitol is from the Carson National Forest in New Mexico. It was cruising Texas en route to D.C. and made a pitstop in Georgetown, Texas on Sunday. About 2000 people turned out to see the tree procession and it included visits with Santa and his reindeer.

Sorry I missed it.Guess it’s well out of Texas now… probably a good thing with the current 80 degree temps.
