Watching the latest Trump rally in Monroe, Louisiana was some delicious entertainment. Just for the accented attitude. We Texans don’t always give a lot of cred to other states, but not so Louisiana (that’s how they say it), and especially here in Houston. It occurred to me talking to the guys of Houston’s Morning News, explaining that in many ways, Houstonians feel closer to Louisianans than to Dallasites. Geography and climate, bayous and flooding, the food, the wildcatter attitude and sense of celebration, and duck huntin’ as espoused by Phil Robertson in his appearance at the rally.
If you missed it, we’ve posted it HERE. The President was rallying for Eddie Respone who’s trying to unseat the Democrat Governor Edwards in a runoff election next week. He’ll also attend the big game; LSU and Alabama on Saturday.
Given my Texas sentiment ….“ Geaux Tigers!”
