Reba McEntire Calls For 'A Little More God' In CMT Acceptance Speech

At last night's CMT Artist of the Year award show, Reba McEntire gave an emotional speech while accepting the Artist of a Lifetime award. She thanked the people who have helped her along the way and specifically called out pal Vince Gill, who had just introduced her, talking about all the fun they've had touring together over the years.

McEntire also thanked God and thanked singer Thomas Rhett for praying on stage earlier in the show.

She went on to say...

"And Thomas Rhett, God bless you for praying in front [of us]. You’re special. That took guts. But as you said, that might not be aired on this but He knows. It better be aired! It better make the cut.
Because that’s what we need in our lives, is a little more God. We’ve got to give this world back to God. We’ve got to give Him the focus and the attention that He needs."
