Democrats who are trying to impeach President Trump have a problem. It's called history.
You have Speaker Nancy Peolsi, who opened up the impeachment inquiry against Trump on Tuesday yet protested as Republicans impeached Bill Clinton in 1998. And then there is Jerry Nadler.
The same Jerry Nadler that has been one of the most outspoken voices in favor of impeachment for months was also saying something very different during the 1998 impeachment controversy. In fact, if you listen to what he said then, you might call him a hypocrite today.
Because today he wants to undo the 2016 election, and in 1998 he accused Republicans of wanting to do the exact same thing.
