LOOK: No. 9 cloud forms as Steve McNair's jersey is retired

A former Houston Oilers quarterback got a celestial sendoff.

The Tennessee Titans retired Steve McNair's jersey at halftime of Sunday's game in Nashville. Fans photographed a cloud in the shape of a "nine" - McNair's number - hovering over Nissan Stadium.

McNair was the league's co-MVP in 2003; he retired in 2007. His number was retired alongside legendary running back Eddie George, whose number 27 was also retired by the Titans.

McNair was killed by a young woman, Sahel "Jenni" Kazemi, in a 2009 murder-suicide.
