Just in time for the NFL season, KFC has selected a former college football legend to play Colonel Sanders.
Sean Astin, who portrayed the title character in the 1993 sports film "Rudy," is reprising his role in a new KFC television advertisement campaign as he becomes "Colonel Rudy."
In the spot, Astin recreates several scenes from the film. Just as Rudy dreamed of playing football at the University of Notre Dame, this time around, Rudy dreams of playing Colonel Sanders.
