California Senator Kamala Harris scored points in the first Democratic debate by confronting Joe Biden over race issues. She was unable to keep that momentum going last night in Detroit.
Not only did her attacks on Biden fall flat, but other candidates started coming after her over her record as a prosecutor.
Tulsi Garrbard, the Congresswoman from Hawaii, seemed to land a heavy punch when talking about that presecutorial record.
“Senator Harris says she’s proud of her record as a prosecutor, and that she’ll be a prosecutor president, but I’m deeply concerned about this record,” Gabbard began.
“There are too many examples to cite, but she put over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana,” she continued.
You can check out the attack by Gabbard on Harris below. It starts at the 3:59 mark.
