Brooks Running recently launched a limited-edition Old Glory Collection shoe, including a sneaker design designed with American flag style. According to Fox Business, 'Nike executives, conversely, decided to pull their shoe after former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, a prominent social activist, said the design could be considered offensive because slavery was legal during the creation of the flag.
“We regularly make business decisions to withdraw initiatives, products and services. Nike made the decision to halt distribution of the Air Max 1 Quick Strike Fourth of July based on concerns that it could unintentionally offend and detract from the nation’s patriotic holiday,” the company said in a statement.'
