Two kinds of blood pressure and heart medications are being recalled because they might be contaminated with an impurity that can cause cancer. The drugs are Irbesartan and Irbesartan HCTZ, made by Prinston Pharmaceuticals. Torrent also has a full list that includes recalled Losartan products.
They're used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. Prinston Pharmaceuticals is based in Charlotte, North Carolina and is owned by a Chinese drug company.
