Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez To Join Financial Services Committee

Younger voters got her in! She's been called the queen of the Twittersphere, and a lightning-rod target for Republicans.

Now Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, 29, the youngest woman ever elected to Congress, is set to join the powerful House Financial Services Committee.

Ocasio-Cortez would join new Committee chair Maxine Waters in overseeing Wall Street, the housing industry, and other financial sectors.

AOC already has big plans for the Committee, tweeting Tuesday that she's "looking forward to digging into the student loan crisis" as well as "for-profit prisons" and "ICE detention".

Is @AOC the future of the Democratic party, or just a 'flavor-of-the-month'?  What issues should the Committee address first?
