Utah Judge Rules Accused Charlie Kirk Assassin Will Face Trial

After months of testimony and evidence being submitted, the accused assassin of Charlie Kirk is heading to trial.

In a Utah courtroom on Tuesday afternoon, Judge Tony Graf ruled that Tyler Robinson can stand trial for capital murder in the killing of Kirk last year.

In his ruling, Graf laid out what he called "overwhelming" evidence.

"Requires probable cause that the defendant knowingly created a great risk of death to another individual, other than the deceased individual and defendant," Graf said.

His ruling allows the prosecution to pursue the death penalty for Robinson.

Erika Kirk, Charlies widow, and his mother Kathryn Kirk were in attendance for the hearing. Robinson is accused of fatally shooting Kirk last September at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University.
