At an Oval Office press conference this morning, President Trump was joined by multiple pharma executives, and members of the cabinet, including Dr. Oz and HHS Secretary RFK Jr, to announce that Medicare and Medicaid will begin covering GLP-1 weight loss drugs like Ozempic.
During the press conference, Trump announced that co-pays for many Medicare patients could be as low as just $50.
During the press conference, President Trump also called out the disastrous Affordable Care Act, AKA "Obamacare." He pointed to the impending Obamacare Premium price hike, and blamed the Democrats who passed Obamacare for it.
