Houston energy giant ConocoPhillips has announced that they will be laying off around 25% of it's global workforce.
The cuts are expected to come from employees and company contractors, and most will take place this year.
ConocoPhillips currently employs around 13,000 people globally, but will not provide specific numbers as far as what country or region will be seeing the layoffs.
